Bangkok Round 2 & The End :(

I was dreading going back to Bangkok because I knew that meant our trip was over. But of course we made the best of our last night there. Actually Jenna stayed another night because her flight was a day after mine, but it was our last night together.

Once we got back there we immediately checked in to the same place we had stayed last time. Our plan was to go shopping but it started to rain, so instead we got massages. It only rained a few times throughout our trip, and every time it did, we got massages, lol. :)

So once the rain let up, we went out on the street to grab some food before getting ready for the night. Before our trip Jenna had pre-paid for some tickets to go see a lady boy show. We figured seeing a show on our last night would be fun. Our taxi driver took us to the wrong place at first, which made us late for the show, but only by about 15 minutes or so.

The performance was actually really good! They were highly entertaining. It's amazing how accepted the lady boys are in Thailand. It's just known as part of their culture, and they benefit from it with these shows. Mainly it's them dressed up, dancing, and lip-singing to songs. There were even kids in the audience.

Afterwards we were able to take a picture (for a price of course) with the lady boys.

Once we were back on Khao San road, we walked around & browsed the shops one last time. Unfortunately the rain didn't let up too much, so the street wasn't as busy as our first night there. We ended up going to a couple places for drinks, then realized we were so exhausted that we couldn't keep our eyes open. It was probably best that we didn't stay out until 9am again, haha!

The next morning I packed up my stuff & headed to the airport. Jenna went to see the grand palace temple & thai boxing that night, which I wish I could have made it to, but there's only so much you can do in 12 days & 11 nights in Thailand! My 10 hour layover in China on the way home was unfortunately not as fun as the first one due to it being overnight. Had my lovely Korean bank card have worked I would have been able to stay in the hotel at the airport. But of course it didn't & I had no cash left. So instead I was stuck tossing back & forth on what felt like concrete chairs in the lobby. On the bright side, I finished an entire novel! haha!

Overall, my adventures in Thailand were unforgettable. I was so happy I got to experience it all with my best friend! Since Leigha couldn't make it to this one, the three of us have decided that next year we will do Costa Rica together! Already looking forward to it!!

XOXO,
Amanda
